As someone who graduated in May and was eager to start their career in the space industry, the Pulsar LaunchPad came at the perfect time. The sessions introduced me to the Canadian and international space industry as a whole and not just the engineering aspects. After the sessions, I spoke with the speakers and learned even more about their fields and received specific resources. The in-person session helped me connect with the participants which I did not get the chance to do online. I’ve already had the opportunity to meet the other participants once again at other space events across Canada.

The Pulsar LaunchPad program not only provided valuable information on the space industry in Canada and beyond, but also inspired and ignited my passion for being at the forefront of this revolutionary industry. From interacting with industry experts and connecting with the next generation of space leaders, I can confidently say that Pulsar has created an amazing community that lasts a lifetime. It’s the perfect launchpad for anyone passionate about space and innovation.

While it was lovely to meet the many engineering and physics students who had attended, it was the unexpected that inspired me. Being the only neuroscience student, I was surprised to find that I wasn’t alone with the unconventional path I had taken; Pulsar had connected me with those who were pursuing degrees in the arts, business, law, medicine and more. It’s these unique connections that have stuck with me since the completion of the program, and they have inspired me to continue on my journey despite initially feeling like an outlier. Pulsar Launchpad showed me that I am not alone, but rather I bring something unique to the space industry.

I really enjoyed my time as part of the Pulsar LaunchPad program. Not only was it incredibly inspiring to connect with leaders from the space industry, but equally inspiring to meet students that also shared my passion for space technology and exploration. I was grateful for the opportunity to meet Galaxia Mission Systems through the program and receive a student internship position with the company, advancing my role in the space industry and contributing to emerging initiatives within Canada’s space sector.
